The Gist
Jenna Ortega has officially cemented herself as Hollywood’s gothic princess amid her Wednesday Season 2 press run—and her latest outing is no exception. Just hours after putting a goth-chic twist on Ingrid Bergman’s Casablanca look, the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice alum went completely Burtonesque on August 4 as she channeled Corpse Bride in an unraveling ivory corset dress that looked like it was moments from falling apart.
While stepping out in New York City on Monday evening, Ortega appeared to pay homage to the Tim Burton horror-fantasy film’s undead bride. Showing off her ultra-bleached eyebrows and new, waist-length brunette waves, the star turned the traditional silk slip dress on its head. The exposed, Victorian boned corset featured hooks running down the front and distressed detailing. Styled with one strap falling off her shoulder and another haphazardly attached to the side of her bodice, the dress evoked a deteriorating, vintage aesthetic. Meanwhile, her fraying ankle-length skirt featured a dramatic hip-high slit on the left side, baring most of her legs as she walked.

She held a micro, $100,000 dual-toned Aupen bag in one hand, showing off a brand new style from the Hailey Bieber, Kylie Jenner, and Selena Gomez-loved brand. The one-of-a-kind Repurpose Pochette, which was created in collaboration with LVHM, was made out of Himalayan crocodile skin and featured one cream side and one lilac side.

Wearing a Meredith Blake-esque wide-brimmed hat perched on top of her long dark waves, the actress opted to go braless as she stepped out for a Good Morning America appearance in a plunging blazer and matching pencil skirt.
