Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry’s relationship lasted a pretty long time, particularly in Hollywood terms. The couple, who share one daughter, even broke up once and got back together. So, this latest breakup, even if it came with more reports of the issues that led them to split, still had people wondering if the two would find a way to patch things up. That is, until Perry seemingly moved on. And reports indicate Bloom isn’t exactly taking it well.
Perry was seen dining with Justin Trudeau, Canada’s former Prime Minister, just a few days ago. Trudeau also attended the singer’s concert in Montreal. Bloom’s response? To throw some shade, or at least laugh at the shade being thrown.

The Onion shared a fake article on social media, making fun of Perry and Trudeau by suggesting Bloom was seen on a date with former German Chancellor Angela Merkel. His response was a series of clapping emojis. So, it seems he found it funny. Or at least, that’s what he wants people to think.
Sources, however, told Star that the news “hit Orlando like a ton of bricks.” Not just that, the source said it might have led to some realizations. “Katy seems smitten, and Orlando’s feeling the burn,” the source explained. “He realizes he could have been nicer with Katy. Now he’s seeing she’s doing just fine without him.”
Part of the problem seems to be that Perry is moving on fast, but Bloom reportedly “hasn’t had much luck in the dating scene” since he split with Perry. “When he and Katy first split, Orlando was confident he’d be able to attract anyone he wanted, but it’s not working out the way he expected,” the source said. “He’s been rejected by Sydney Sweeney, which was a big disappointment for him,” the source also revealed.
Issues with Bloom and Perry were bubbling over for a while. Reports indicate that the criticism Perry received when she was a judge on American Idol and the negative reception of her latest album took a toll on her, and subsequently on the marriage. There are also reports that Bloom wasn’t exactly on board with Perry’s Blue Origin space flight, with a source telling the Daily Mail. “He told her the whole thing looked ridiculous. He said it was cringeworthy. Embarrassing. This was in the middle of a fight, and it hurt her feelings.”
To make things worse, there were even claims that Bloom had a ‘wandering eye’ during their relationship and was checking out other women. Star reported that the pair’s relationship had become “borderline toxic” before the split.
“Katy and Orlando were both so tightly wound,” the source said. “They started to bicker, and it got worse and worse over time.” And as things got worse, distance set in. “It reached the point where Katy and Orlando were living separate lives and going for large chunks of time without communicating because the tension was so palpable,” the source added.
From all these reports, it looks like they might be better off going their separate ways. It’s just, of course, that Perry moved on much faster and with a very high-profile politician.
