Lady Gaga’s love of the spotlight is threatening her relationship with fiancé Michael Polansky.
Sources dish to the National Enquirer that Polansky’s poker face is starting to show cracks after years of waiting for her to agree on a wedding date.
The 46-year-old entrepreneur and the “Bad Romance” singer, 39, who was born Stefani Germanotta, have been together for six years. When they got engaged on April 1, 2024, he gave her a dazzling engagement ring with a large oval-cut diamond set on a diamond pavé band estimated to have cost around $1 million.
But the pair has yet to announce any wedding plans.
“Michael’s a patient man, but that patience is running out,” an insider says.
An accomplished businessman with his own big bank account, he’s grown frustrated with Gaga’s obsession with the bright lights and extravagance of celebrity life, according to our insider.
“They say opposites attract, and these two are total opposites,” a friend says. “They love each other very much, but their lifestyles clash and he wants to settle down and start a family before it’s too late.”
A source says they are even battling over what kind of wedding they want.
“Michael would be perfectly happy sneaking off to the courthouse to tie the knot, followed by a romantic dinner with his new bride,” the insider says.
But the A Star Is Born actress is insisting on a “big wedding extravaganza.”
“She argues that because she has a big fall tour coming up, she doesn’t have the time to plan the kind of wedding she’s always dreamed of,” says the source, noting that Michael is realizing that day may never come and is giving Gaga the impetus to make a compromise — or he may move on.
“As much as Michael loves Gaga, he’s not going to wait around forever to make her his wife. And he’s basically told her that it’s time to seal the deal because he’s not comfortable with things as they are. He’s starting to think it’s now or never with Gaga.”
