The 2025 MTV VMAs are right around the corner!
On Tuesday, Aug. 5, MTV unveiled the complete list of nominations for the 2025 Video Music Awards, and Lady Gaga leads the pack with nods in 12 categories.
Additional artists with the most nominations include Bruno Mars with 11, Kendrick Lamar with 10, ROSÉ and Sabrina Carpenter with eight each, Ariana Grande and The Weeknd with seven each, Billie Eilish with six and Charli xcx with five.

Ariana Grande in March 2025First-time nominees include ROSÉ, Alex Warren, Gigi Perez, Damiano David, Leon Thomas, Lola Young, sombr, The Marías, JENNIE, Jimin and JISOO.
This year, MTV also adds two new categories to the mix: Best Country and Best Pop Artist.
Fans can vote for most categories through the VMAs website through Sept. 5 — except for Best New Artist, for which voting will remain active into the show.

ROSÉ in September 2024Through the VMAs Instagram page, fans can cast additional votes for Video of the Year presented by Burger King, Artist of the Year and Best New Artists by using specific hashtags through Aug. 8 at 6 p.m. ET.
Every day from Aug. 7 to Sept. 4, fans can also submit double the votes per category between 1 p.m. ET and 2 p.m. ET.
The 2025 MTV VMAs air live from New York's UBS Arena on Sunday, Sept. 7 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and MTV. The ceremony will also stream on Paramount+.
