If there’s one member of the British royal family that doesn’t seem to be on good terms with anyone, it’s Prince Andrew. The King’s younger brother has been at the center of many controversies, perhaps the biggest one involving convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. He is no longer a working royal, and he stays mostly out of the public eye, as public opinion of him is not at all favorable.
But now, new reports indicate that even before his infamous interview that completely damaged his reputation, he wasn’t really getting along with some members of his family. A new book, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, by royal biographer Andrew Lownie, describes his relationship with his nephews, Prince William and Prince Harry, as “problematic.”

However, things with Prince Harry reportedly escalated beyond that. Reportedly, “punches were thrown” during an altercation between Harry and Andrew in 2013. Not just that, the book claims, “Harry got the better of Andrew” by leaving him with a “bloody nose.”
The reason for the fight was because of “something Andrew said behind Harry’s back.” In addition to the 2013 incident, the book also claimed that Harry and Andrew’s relationship soured due to Andrew’s disapproval of Harry’s relationship with his now-wife, Meghan Markle. Reportedly, Andrew said his nephew was going “bonkers” for marrying Meghan. He also reportedly said the marriage would “not last more than a month.”
Denial came swiftly. A spokesperson for Prince Harry denied the reports in a statement to the Daily Telegraph.“Prince Harry and Prince Andrew have never had a physical fight,” adding that Prince Andrew did not “ever make the comments he is alleged to have made about the Duchess of Sussex to Prince Harry,” the statement read.
Despite this, the book claims that Harry once told Prince William that “he hated Andrew.” Ironically, their reported dislike for Prince Andrew seems to be one thing the estranged brothers see eye to eye on. The book also reports there “have been tensions between the two men [Andrew and William] for years,” and that Prince Andrew has likewise been rude about Kate Middleton, Prince William’s wife. So, it’s not just Meghan Markle he has a problem with.

There have been recent reports, which the book echoes, that Prince William is looking to “evict” his uncle from the Royal Lodge property in Windsor, which the Duke of York leases from the Crown Estate and where he resides with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson.
“He has refused to leave his lavish mansion and move to the significantly smaller Frogmore Cottage, believing it to be not grand enough for him,” property buying agent Robin Edwards told GB News.
“Prince William has long had a strained and distant relationship with Andrew,” royal expert Hilary Fordwich also recently told Fox News Digital, adding that the Prince holds “a grudge against his disgraced uncle,” which doesn’t bode well for his future when Prince William is king.
“Andrew’s future within the royal family is beyond bleak, since Prince William is firmly opposed to any public rehabilitation with no foreseeable path back,” Fordwich claimed. “He wants Andrew to vanish from public view.”
Whether Prince Andrew said what the book claims or not, it doesn’t seem like we’ll be seeing much more of him as the British royal family moves forward. Particularly considering that King Charles and Prince Harry are set to be on the road to reconciliation, a reconciliation that includes Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle.
