Meghan Markle received a glowing birthday tribute from one of her closest friends — who just happens to share the exact same birthday.
Abigail Spencer, who starred alongside the Duchess of Sussex on Suits, marked their joint 44th birthday on Monday, August 4, by posting a series of photos and a heartfelt message on Instagram.
“As glorious as the day I met you. Champagne in human form. A creature unlike any other,” Spencer wrote. “Thank you for being a sister in this life, and beyond. Words can’t capture. From the rooftops. So grateful for your life, @meghan ✨. Thanks for saving mine.”
She ended the caption with a reminder of their special bond: “Love, Abs. 44/4. 8/4/81.”
The two met in 2011 on the set of Suits, where Spencer played Dana Scott, a recurring character, and Meghan portrayed paralegal Rachel Zane. Their friendship quickly extended off-screen, and Spencer was one of the Suits cast members invited to Meghan and Prince Harry’s royal wedding in 2018.
Over the years, Spencer has been a vocal supporter of Meghan, particularly during turbulent moments in the spotlight. In a 2021 Instagram post, she wrote that Meghan has "modeled nothing but generous professionalism on sets and an even more generous friendship in private."
Meghan is celebrating multiple milestones this year. Based in Montecito with Harry and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, she launched her new lifestyle brand As ever and teased a fresh drop from her brand's rosé line in a sunlit Instagram video shared on the eve of her birthday.
